Music Monday - Beautiful by MercyMe again

I know I have shared this one before but I didn't really write anything with it and it's been on my mind a lot lately, can't get the lyrics out of my head. In fact, I've sent the lyrics to a couple of friends who are struggling to get through some issues in life right now. One in particular, a very very dear friend of mine, has been really struggling with her depression and actually within the midst of a spiritual battle for several months, and I've been trying to be there for her and help love her through it. Elli and I went over to her house on Friday night. It was totally a God-thing that Dave was working and I had to bring Elli along because normally I go alone so that we can talk and cry and read the bible together. One of the things she is working through is some mom issues and she told me that she wants to go get all of the photos of her as a toddler so that she can look at them and love on that little girl in the pictures. She looked at Elli and said she so wishes she was that age again so she could grow up differently, knowing she was loved and treasured, instead of the opposite like she did. We talked about how she can't go back in time, she can only go forward, etc etc etc. And somehow Elli crawled up in her lap and snuggled with her for a long long time. Elli doesn't usually do that with many people, and never for that long. My dear friend held my angel princess and cried as she hugged and loved on my daughter and told her how loved she was and that Jesus loved her. I could literally see the Holy Spirit working. I could see Him in my daughter, as the tears rolled down my cheeks. Elli just sat there with her head against my friend's chest, her huge blue eyes looking at me as I nodded and smiled at her reassuring her she was doing good. She was doing SO good. She was doing HIS good. It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I watched as my beautiful little girl let God work through her to help heal a little part of my beautiful friend's hurting heart. It was so beautiful. It's so amazing when He works through the children. He really does use the weak to lead the strong.
The next day, I was working in the kitchen with my Ipod on shuffle and this song came on and stopped me in my tracks.

I had heard and loved this song many many times,

but He spoke to me through these words

and I had to share them.

They are so true.
